Proof points and related projects
Water: completed numerous projects for the Water Corporation including a major water distribution project in Alkimos, pressure mains and pump station works in Peelhurt and gravity sewer and pressure main projects in Peel Terrace; installed 35 km of water pipeline for BHP Nickel West’s Mt Keith operation; through KCU JV, running one of the largest dewatering programs in the southern hemisphere for Fortescue, installing approximately 100km of dewatering pipelines annually over five years. Related projects: FMG Dewatering Operations, FMG Culverts, Newmont Boddington Drainage Trenching, Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum Project.
Power: for Western Power, completed excavation, installation and backfilling works for two 132kV underground cable circuits; installed 65km of high voltage power and fibre optic cabling connecting 55 wind turbines; improved reliability and capacity of electrical supply to Rio Tinto’s Paraburdoo asset; supported the Western Power UPP program since inception, completing over 25 projects including an estimated 7,000 streetlights, over 15,000 home connections and over 840 km of underground power cable. Related projects: Rail Capacity Enhancement, Paraburdoo Mine Supply Upgrade, Floreat Underground Power Program, Mumbida Wind Farm.
Gas: installed the high-pressure gas main connecting the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline with the Rockingham and Mandurah areas; completed 2.5km of trenching with 600 cubic metres of pipe bedding and backfilling at Dacian Gold’s Mt Morgan Mine near Laverton; supplied skilled operators and trenching equipment for the 200km Yamarna Gas pipeline on the Gruyere Gold project. Related projects: Connell Avenue Reinforcement, Yamarna Gas Pipeline, Mt Morgan Gas Pipeline, Horrie Miller Drive / Tonkin Hwy Gas Mains Realignment.
Communications: installed 5 km of fibre optic cable connecting the Chevron LNG Plant in Onslow to the Telstra network; used Ecoploughs in environmentally sensitive areas of the Pilbara as part of installing over 500km of fibre optic cable; delivered the Roy Hill signalling and communications rail line project.
