Social Responsibility

Protect people. Deliver with certainty.

Cape Dunstans manages social performance through a disciplined approach to safety, quality and workforce engagement, embedded in how we plan and deliver every project.

Spotlight

  • Designed and introduced a mechanical pipe grab eliminating manual handling and line-of-fire risks, significantly improving safety and earning two award nominations.
  • Implemented a new cloud-based WHSEQ data management system integrating personnel management, training compliance, incident reporting, injury tracking and project monitoring in one place.
  • Deployed 15 trained mental health first aiders across all project sites, including supervisors, managers and senior leaders who have completed accredited Mental Health First Aid training.

Community & Workforce

Local participation. Long-term outcomes.

Cape Dunstans supports the communities and regional areas in which we operate through local employment, procurement and active participation in initiatives that strengthen health, safety and community wellbeing.

We are committed to creating pathways into employment and building regional capability. Through the CFC Group’s Frank Cardaci Traineeship Program, we provide opportunities for disadvantaged and marginalised young people to enter the workforce and develop long-term careers.

Our partnership through KCU, a 50/50 joint venture with Kurtarra Pty Ltd, is central to our approach to Indigenous engagement. Through KCU, we support increased Indigenous workforce participation, training and meaningful engagement with Traditional Owner groups, contributing to stronger local outcomes across the regions in which we operate.

This is complemented by our work with the CFC Foundation and other community partnerships, reflecting our focus on delivering long-term social value alongside project outcomes.

Spotlight: Supporting First Nations employment and enterprise. The KCU team opened a new office in Broome, supporting local recruitment, training and community connection, strengthening our presence in the Kimberley.
